Ergonomics

What is Ergonomics?

ERGONOMICS is the science of “fitting work to people“. It is the process of designing or arranging workplaces, products and systems so that they fit the people who uses them.

Why is Ergonomics Important?

Ergonomics helps to increase productivity, reduce muscle fatigue and reduces the number of severity due to work-related MSDs (musculoskeletal disorder) such as overuse of muscles, routine lifting of heavy objects, bad postures and continuously doing repeated tasks.

Poor ergonomics can cause various problems such as

  • Poor Posture

  • Back Pain

  • Neck Pain

  • Headaches

  • Leg Cramps

  • Tight Muscles and Joints

  • Carpal tunnel syndrome

What are we do to help you?

At Specialist Rehab, we will help reduce your ergonomic risk factors by analyzing your postures and movements that you use during your work activities, as well as analyzing your body and it's ability to perform the tasks before we make recommendations of the type of stretches and the number of rest periods to take during the day to avoid injuries.
