JAW
PAIN

Jaw pain also know as temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder happens when there is a mismatch between the upper and lower teeth, joints and facial muscles responsible for jaw movement.

Early intervention and prevention of temporomandibular dysfunction (TMD) are necessary to avoid chronic pain and permanent disability.

At Specialist Rehab, we guide patients with mild TMD through physiotherapy after diagnosing their TMD symptoms.

Some of the symptoms includes:

  • Locked jaw (have trouble chewing food)

  • Frequent headaches and migraines

  • Frequent dizziness (vertigo)

  • Frequent buzzing or ringing sounds in ears (tinnitus)

  • Clicking or pooping sounds on either side of the jaw

  • Pain in your face or jaw joint area
